The JPL Acquisition Planning and Compliance Section (APCS) in the JPL Acquisition Division has an exciting summer internship opportunity for an undergraduate studying Business Administration, or a related major. The summer intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience in the application of procurement planning, rules, compliance and audit for the Laboratory.
As an intern of the Acquisition Planning and Compliance Section, you will report to the Section Manager and will assist the team responsible for the General Provisions, Additional General Provisions, Procurement Research, Acquisition Division Instructions, JPL Rules, JPL Forms, and Generators, Audit Coordination, Self-Assessments, Advisory Services, and Procurement Reviews.
This is a unique opportunity to be a Business Intern in JPL’s Acquisition Division, which functions as an integral part in all JPL/NASA Missions.
The ideal candidate for the Summer Intern in APCS must be able to work alongside management and subcontracts managers regarding activities, which are the responsibility of the Section and Division. The Summer Intern will be exposed to the both the subcontracting compliance and the subcontracting activities at the Laboratory. This diverse work has weekly assignments under direct supervision while receiving detailed instructions on new assignments.
The optimal candidate for this role is a self-starter with critical thinking skills, communications skills (written and verbal), demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness in problem solving and is solutions/results driven.
- Minimum GPA 3.0.
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university as Undergraduate or Graduate student majoring in Business or related discipline.
- Must be available to work full-time hours for 10-12 weeks during summer months.
